1. Pasar Payang
Pasar Payang, or the Central Market of Kuala Terengganu, is a must-visit especially for first-time visitors to this turtle state. Located just by the Sungai Terengganu (Terengganu River).
2. Merang Beach
Merang is the jumping-off point to the magical island of Pulau Redang famed for its magnificent beaches and crystal-clear waters where in the shallows wild sea fish remarkably come to feed from hands.
3. Istana Maziah
One of the regal royal palaces in Malaysia, Istana Maziah's architecture portrays a blend of modern and traditional elements, which reflects the artistic skills of the Terengganu people.
4. Marang Beach
Marang Beach is unique in that its broad golden sands form a remarkable stretch of sand dunes like a wall that slopes dramatically into the sea, creating an unusual two-tier beach.
5. Tenggol Island
Marine life that can be seen here includes sharks, rays, nudibranch and a wide variety of hard and soft coral. Before being declared a marine park, Pulau Tenggol was a favourite hunting ground for spear-fishermen, particularly for snappers and groupers!
